What we collect
We collect your email address, the public App Store apps and storefronts you choose, authentication session data, product preferences, plan-entitlement records, and billing identifiers when you subscribe. The RankMemo iPhone app stores its session token in the iOS Keychain. Complimentary access changes are retained in an internal audit log. For fraud and abuse prevention, we retain keyed, non-readable fingerprints derived from the signup network, an essential device identifier, and normalized email-risk signals. The raw network address is not stored in these anti-abuse records. With your consent, we may also collect pseudonymous product-usage events, device and app-version information, referring pages, and sampled website session recordings. We do not request or store App Store Connect credentials.
Why we use it
We use this information to authenticate you, collect public ranking data, detect ranking events, send the alerts you request, enforce plan and email-delivery limits, prevent multi-account abuse, provide support, and operate the service securely. A custom notification address is not activated until it is verified.
Service providers
Data may be processed by our infrastructure, email, analytics, and payment providers. Stripe handles website payments. Apple processes App Store purchases made in the iPhone app, and RevenueCat provides subscription-entitlement infrastructure. RankMemo does not receive your full payment card details. PostHog provides product and web analytics. We send PostHog an internal user identifier rather than your email address or app names, mask all form inputs, exclude sensitive pages from recording, and sample only part of eligible website sessions.
Retention and deletion
Free-plan ranking history may be limited to 30 days. Short-lived rate-limit records are removed after two days, verification records after seven days, anti-abuse signals after 90 days, and email-delivery operational records after 180 days. You can permanently delete your account and its user-owned data, including linked anti-abuse signals, from Settings.
Analytics choices
Analytics and session recording remain disabled until you allow them. You can refuse them, change your choice at any time using “Analytics choices” in the site footer, or enable your browser’s Do Not Track preference. Essential authentication, rate-limiting, and anti-abuse storage is unaffected.
Your choices
You can change alert preferences, use the unsubscribe link in non-essential alert emails, delete your account from Settings, or contact us to exercise applicable access, correction, and deletion rights.
