App Store ranking history
Ranking history is more useful when it starts before you remember to track it. RankMemo archives supported public category and overall charts continuously, then surfaces dated highlights for followed apps.
The shared archive collects supported chart scopes whether or not a user is already following an app. When a new user adds an app, RankMemo can search those past observations for real dated appearances.
Storing the same unchanged position four times per day would create noise. RankMemo compresses stable periods into intervals and starts a new one only when the position changes or the app leaves or re-enters coverage.
A #12 category rank is not equivalent to #12 overall. Every historical observation retains its storefront, chart type, category, price type, provider, and coverage depth.
A highlight includes the observed date and position. Source failures are recorded separately, so an unavailable Apple page cannot become a fictional ranking drop in your history.
